I’ve been teaching IB Biology for the past eight years, working with both SL and HL students. My lessons focus on understanding the science rather than memorising facts, especially in genetics and cell biology. I also guide students through their Internal Assessments, helping them design practical investigations that are realistic and meet IB expectations without making the process feel overwhelming.

Hi! I’m a biology tutor with a background in biomedical sciences and I genuinely enjoy helping IB students untangle topics that seem confusing at first. We spend plenty of time on exam questions because they often reveal where the real gaps are. I also enjoy discussing evolution and ecology, and I’m always happy to look over IA ideas before students commit to them.

My experience includes teaching IB Biology in international schools as well as tutoring online. I specialise in preparing students for the final exams, with particular attention to data analysis, experimental design and markscheme interpretation. Many students also come to me for structured support with their IA from planning through to the final draft.

I started tutoring while working in a clinical laboratory and quickly realised I loved teaching as much as research. IB Biology suits students who ask lots of questions, so my lessons are always interactive. Human physiology is probably my favourite topic to teach, and I make plenty of time for practising longer exam responses together.

My academic background is in molecular biology, and I place strong emphasis on applying biological concepts to unfamiliar scenarios. Lessons are carefully planned around each student's needs, whether that involves mastering difficult topics or refining exam technique.

I’m the sort of tutor who likes drawing diagrams while we talk things through. Photosynthesis and respiration usually become much easier once we map everything out together. Most of my students join me weekly throughout the year, although I also help with revision before exams and give detailed feedback on IA drafts when deadlines get close.
